However, you’d be wrong and if you attended the concert tonight without any prep, you would quickly remember many more songs and feel time warped to your lives in the late 90’s just post college if your my age. Lead singer Stephen Jenkins is RIPPED from working out and at 60 next month looks and plays as good as he ever has with band mates. Dad had a draw from my daughters when their split decision/guess came out as one saying older and one saying younger than me. Brooklyn is sleeping in the backyard tonight.
On a seperate note, Explaining the subtle differences to 7 and 363/365th year olds between Punk Rock, Geek Rock, Alternative Rock, Grunge Rock & Pop Rock and the fact that some bands are more than one of those things at once whether they like it or not can be…challenging!
Only thing I’ve achieve so far is getting them to understand that if they’ve heard any of these songs on the radio and not just by Daddy playing them on Alexa makes the band at least Pop Rock to a degree.
. They looked at me crazy when I said Geek Rock is just Punk Rock with Nerd Glasses & we would be seeing WEEZER soon with their Bubbas where Daddybused to work.
