The kids made me swear to not cry during “Time After Time” & “True Colors”, but I had my fingers crossed.
This is a hero to me. A feminist icon. A 71 year old woman & artist who hasn’t done an arena tour in 4 decades & wanted to give us one last BLAST! Celebrate artist like this! So glad my 8 year old daughters got to see & hear straight “from the horse’s mouth” how far women have had to come AND some damn good music too.
I’m not one to record video of concerts during the over 200 live shows I’ve seen (especially back when Axel used to beat us up for it), but this was worth recording & sharing.
Weird, antiestablishment, an artist, a rebel, multifaceted, honest, could give a shit what others think if not in line with her values, a quirky sense of fashion, fabulous & HERSELF. A little like George Carlin if he could sing & was a good looking female. Sounds like someone I know well & am comfortable with;)
